The emergence of a new Hollywood model for creators
The last post marked the endpoint of our research and development phase and Charismatic.ai plunged headfirst in the industrial rapids of AI-enabled content production.
In practise, this has meant two things: one, we are now a studio that makes short live action films, animated series, microdramas and even interactive stories generated by Charismatic.ai. Second, we partner with existing studios, networks and creators to achieve the goal we originally set: enable the growth of new creative opportunities with AI.
The first goal we have exceeded, and have been nominated *twice* in the new C21 Media Generaition Awards for best live action film with Aguila, and best animated film with Carnival. Both of these are here for your viewing.
On the second, we believe the creative industries (the industry part is important and refers to corporations such a music labels, movie industry and publishers) is in a process of managed decline, and that AI has the potential to be a lifeboat for the creators - writers, artists, musicians, directors, actors - who have supported them thus far.
So in the coming weeks we will make a series of announcements about how we intend to open up Charismatic.ai, the world of AI storytelling, and new revenue streams for creative practitioners in ways that have never been possible before.
This Substack will serve as an archive of the work we have done to date, building the most incredible new AI technology that carries the values of the creative sectors with it, and with professional digital ethical oversight in its DNA.
